What's On My Vision Board

It's been tough. Sometimes when you're not exactly where you want to be at in life, you sink into a place of depression. I am going through a valley right now. I will be turning 25 next month and I'm in a position where I'm struggling to take care of myself. At this age, I shouldn't be relying heavily on my family but the reality is... I AM. If you know me in real life you would know that I am not the type of person to throw pity parties. I am an encourager, I love to pour into people but sometimes I need to encourage myself.

 

I recently created a vision board so that I can avoid dwelling on the obstacles in my life. I learned the vision board idea from Steve Harvey's book, Act Like a Success Think Like a Success. In this blog post, I will be explaining what I placed on my vision board and why. I hope this post inspires you to create your own vision board and make it happen for yourself. 

 

MY REAL ESTATE JOURNEY

The thought of ownership has been in my mind for a long time so I know it's there for a reason. As I've mentioned to you guys in my Real Estate Journey series, I am trying to gain knowledge in this field. I passed my classes, attended seminars, and I am (finally) scheduled to take my test this month. To be honest, I've been dreading taking the state exam to get my realtor's license but please pray for me! I believe getting my license will open up opportunities for me. The best is yet to come! 

 

 

RELATIONSHIP STATUS

I am not embarrassed to say that I would like to be married. Marriage is one of the desires of my heart. I've been in the same long term relationship for 7 years and I just feel it's about that time. HOWEVER, the word "budget" is there as a reality check for me to prepare myself because I'm bringing much more to the table than just good looks. 

 

 

HEALTHIER CHOICES

I am laughing while writing this because I just ate a bucket of Snickers ice cream to myself LOL! One of the habits I'm trying to break is emotional binge eating. This is so much easier said than done but it's possible! I want to eat more fruits and drink more water. Some days I can drink a gallon of water to myself...other days I forget to drink water because I want coffee and coffee turns into soda and soda turns into juice ..I think you know the rest. 

 

 

R E M I N D E R S 

I put encouraging words on my board to keep a positive mindset and to put action behind my prayers even if the results don't happen right away. Following your dreams can be a discouraging process and this is why we have to learn how to speak wisdom over our lives. These words are daily affirmations for myself so that I can continue to strive for better.
