I received good news earlier this week. If you read this blog post -> Testing the Waters <- you would know that my boyfriend and I took three real estate classes over the summer. Well, we finally found out that we passed **happy dance** ! This is the very first step to becoming a Realtor in California. I wanted to update you guys on where I'm at right now in the Real Estate field and maybe it can help you if you're ever interested in getting your Real Estate License. Now that I've passed my classes, I can move on to take the state exam but before I even take the exam...... I must study! I'm going to give myself some time to look over the material. Here are the courses I took:
Real Estate Principles (Required)
Real Estate Practice (Required)
Legal Aspects of Real Estate (Elective Course)
I took all three classes online at a local community college. To be honest, if these courses were offered in person I would've chosen the in-person courses. The online classes were challenging at times and you have to be really disciplined to keep up especially if you're enrolled during a summer semester. Taking three classes while having a full-time job was a big workload but it was worth it in the end because I am one step closer to getting my Real Estate License.
So, what's next? I'm going to study for the exam and attend local real estate seminars so that I can learn more and network! I'm very grateful that I already work for Real Estate professionals who are mentoring me along the way. I try to ask as many questions as I can because I'm just a rookie ha! I'm happy with where I'm at but I still have a long way to go and A LOT to learn. Please pray I pass my Real Estate Exam hahaha! Thank you in advance :)
