Aunty life: Hosting My First Baby Shower

September 15, 2016 I haven't been blogging for a little while but it's only because I was SUPER busy planning out my sister in law's baby shower! It was the very first party I actually planned out and I never hosted a party in my life! My family and my honey was such a BIG help throughout the process so I give them A LOT of credit for making this day happen! I should probably mention that I really wanted to throw my sister in law a baby shower because I felt like she deserved one. She's a great mother to my sweet nephew Duke and an awesome wife to my brother. I've known her for YEARS and she has always been a great help to my family! With that being said, I wanted to share some of my FAVORITES at the baby shower!

Large Baby Blocks (DIY): This idea was inspired by Pinterest! I wanted to make my nephew's name stand out and this was the perfect way!

Goodie Table! The cake and cupcakes were placed on a different table because of the sun! Below are a few close up pictures of the snacks that were placed on the table.

A belly designed CAKE made by my friend Anna! I totally forgot to take pictures of the cupcakes but the cake was fab and it received many compliments from our guests! It was a chocolate cake filled with oreo cream filling :)

What's a baby shower without a blessing?! My aunty drove all the way from Fresno to pray over my brother and his family. Thank you aunty!!

Favor Table: Some favor bags were filled with Chocolate chip cookies and others with pop corn. I also placed the gift card box on the favor table since it was near the gift area.

I am obsessed with this DIY ribbon backdrop! My boyfriend and I spent so much time on this project. I actually MISS running to the store just to grab ribbon and tissue paper! LOL! I created the pompoms on top as well. Even though it was windy at times, the final look was super gorgeous! Putting in the labor was totally worth it haha!

LARGE DIY Polaroid! My sister in law helped me put together this huge polaroid! I just thought it added a "personal" touch to the whole baby shower. I loved seeing family members taking pictures with it!

Wooohoo! A smiling sister in law means mission accomplished and my job here is done!

Now that the baby shower is over it's time for us to wait on the arrival of my dear nephew Cayson. That will be another blog post haha!! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog! As you can see by all the exclamation marks in this post I am super excited to share it with you guys LOL!!
