My 23rd Birthday

June 6, 2016

Birthdays are so exciting! There are so many people who didn't even get to reach the age you're at right now so you should embrace where you are! You have every right to be treated like royalty on your birthday because you deserve it. I turned 23 this year. As always, my family and boyfriend spoiled me the second I woke up!

In the morning, my sister in law Monica treated me to a nice cup of joe at Starbucks. When we returned home, I walked into a sweet surprise from my brother Duke and his little family. There was a table at the center of the living room that was beautifully decorated by my sister in law and brothers.

The entire table was covered in PINK (my favorite color). There were 23 cupcakes that resembled the things I like: pink crowns, ribbons, pearls, my school mascot, chocolate, more chocolate, and even more chocolate! There were pink candles, pink heart shaped balloons, and pink rose petals sprinkled all over the table. There was also a sign that read, "Happy Birthday Aunty Weetee" (my family nickname). The table was soooo pretty, I didn't even want to touch it haha!  I felt so loved by my family members and I appreciate that they did something like this for me!

I spent the rest of my birthday with my boyfriend in San Francisco. My lover made reservations at The Pier Market Seafood Restaurant, which is located at Pier 39. This was the perfect restaurant for us because it wasn't too fancy shmancy. We also had a nice view of the city. Our host was very sweet and she did a great job checking up on our table to see if we needed anything. I ordered the "Fisherman's platter" for dinner and it was delicious. The meal had: fried shrimp, calamari, and fish & chips. I loved it! Although the restaurant was very busy, our food was ready in about 10 minutes. The service here was great! I was even surprised with a little birthday cake before I left :) .

After dinner, my boyfriend and I strolled along the Pier and walked into so many different stores. The Pier was filled with a lot of entertainment and family fun. We watched a magic show and played arcade games. I WISH I took more pictures of the scenery but I was having too much fun with my honey! To top it all off, I OWNED my boyfriend in a game of air hockey haha!

Thank you so much to my family and friends who wished me a happy birthday. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer. I will leave you guys with a picture of my boyfriend and I at the Pier. The San Francisco breeze made my hair fly all over the place! haha! #Blessings
